Good first ad credit

I was looking for the best way to get started with TikTok ads without spending too much. The new advertiser credit was a great deal. I got some free ad credit after meeting a small spend, which made it feel worth it to test things out.

Decent platform for campaigns

I set up a few Video Shopping Ads using TikTok Ads Manager last month. The ordering process for the ads was clear, and it took about two days for them to go live after review. I used the Smart Creative tool, which was pretty neat for generating different ad variations quickly. Delivery on the campaign was consistent, though I did have a small issue with the billing section at first. Their chat support was able to sort it out after about 15 minutes of waiting. The quality of the ad placements seemed good, and the audience insights gave me a clear picture of performance. Overall, a solid experience for running ads.

Amazing ad results

I used TikTok Ads Manager for a new campaign and the results were fantastic! My In-Feed Ads performed so well, and the targeting was spot-on. I'm definitely using them again for my next product launch! Recommend this to everyone!

Easy to set up

I just needed to run a quick campaign for my small business. Setting up the App Install Campaign was pretty straightforward, even for someone like me who doesn't do ads all the time. The support articles were helpful when I had a question about the TikTok Pixel. Got my ad running in a few days.

Do TikTok For Business ever do any special deals around Black Friday or the holidays?

W Wendy R. 2 months ago
Oh yeah, they always have something going on for Q4, especially Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Keep an eye on your Ads Manager notifications around then.

L Lisa 2 months ago
They definitely do. Not just BFCM, but I've seen stuff around other major holidays too, like Chinese New Year or even Prime Day if you're targeting that kind of audience.

My ad credit isn't showing up. Where do you even put those promo codes in the Ads Manager?

O Omar Torres 1 month ago
You gotta go into the billing section, I think there's a specific spot for coupons or ad credits. Make sure it's before the expiration date too.

Check your 'Promotions' or 'Coupons' tab within the billing settings. It's usually tucked away there, and sometimes it doesn't apply automatically.

Are TikTok ads good for reaching older audiences, say 35+? Or is it mostly Gen Z still?

W Wendy Ito 1 month ago
It's definitely not just Gen Z anymore. My last campaign for a gardening product did surprisingly well with a 40-55 age group. You just need to tailor the content.

I've seen the demographic shift a lot. More and more older folks are on there. Their AI targeting actually does a decent job of finding the right people if your creative is on point.

Hey, thinking about trying TikTok ads for my small shop. Do they ever do like, a 'spend 100 get 100' thing for new users? Or similar deals?

C Carly 2 months ago
Yeah, they totally do! I got a spend 100 get 100 credit when I first signed up. Just gotta hit that spend threshold first, then the credit kicks in.

M Mark Doyle 2 months ago
They pretty much always have some kind of new advertiser coupon, usually between 100 and 500 bucks in ad credits. Keep an eye out when you're setting up your account.

I'm a small business owner, just me. Is TikTok For Business even legit for someone like me, or is it more for big brands?

C Cody Silva 2 months ago
Definitely legit for small businesses! I run all my ads for my Etsy shop through it. They have tools that make it pretty easy even if you're a one-person show.

R Ryan 2 months ago
Totally. They have a ton of AI stuff now that helps with creative and targeting, which is great if you don't have a huge marketing team.

How fast do ads usually get approved? I'm trying to launch a campaign for a flash sale next week.

J Josh 1 month ago
Honestly, it can vary. Sometimes it's super quick, like a few hours. Other times, it feels like it takes a full day or two. Don't leave it till the last minute!

O Omar 1 month ago
Most of mine have been approved within 24 hours, usually faster if it's a simple ad. If you've got anything tricky, it might take a bit longer.

Thinking of running some ads for a new app. How does TikTok compare to Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ads in terms of user acquisition costs?

A Anna 2 months ago
From my experience, TikTok can be cheaper if your creative goes viral, but it's also less predictable than Meta. Meta's targeting feels a bit more refined sometimes.

M Mike J. 2 months ago
Totally depends on your niche. For certain things, TikTok blows Meta out of the water. For others, Meta still crushes it. Worth testing both with a small budget if you can.

Can I run TikTok ads without actually having a personal TikTok account myself? Like, just manage it all from the Business page?

I Ivy Z. 2 months ago
You can set up the Ads Manager without a personal account, yeah. But you'll need to create ad creatives, so you'll probably want a way to make videos, even if you don't post them personally.

R Raj Y. 2 months ago
I think you can, but it's way easier if you at least have a creator account linked to your business profile to publish Spark Ads. For In-Feed, you might not even need that though.
